You will be able to locate the topics you are concentrating on not only within a precise historical and cultural context but also as part of a complex and highly fascinating web of interdisciplinary relationships.
As you cross boundaries which traditionally have often set apart one area of study from another, you will be able to draw insights from related disciplines which will allow you to discuss the evolution of cultural movements. You will be able to perceive links between a rich variety of areas of study within the definition of the humanities; conversely, you will also become critically aware of conflicting voices, schools of thought, and methodological procedures which will enrich your analysis of the arts.
By learning how to conceptualize and formally articulate links between texts fom a wide range of cultures, periods, and subjects, you will be able to draw on your improved skills of argument and analysis when critically engaging with challenging topics and significant debates from both the past and the present.
You will also have a unique opportunity, thanks to the facility to delve into areas of study outside the strict boundaries of the humanities, to seek personalized learning outcomes according to your individual learning objectives.
